The english language arts standards that I feel most prepared to teach for is reading and writing because I am very good at these myself. I feel like I can teach these to students very well. It is very important for students to know how to read and write because it is essential when going through school. I have used Microsoft Word for a long time as a student. I started using it when I was in elementary school. I used it a lot in high school when I had to write papers as well as in college so far. It has been very helpful when writing papers and having to make resume's and many other things. My teachers also use Word a lot. Many of them use it when doing their lectures or even assigning things and putting the directions on a word document. It has been a huge help with me being a student and also for my teachers using it for many different things. I think a very important thing for a student is citing your sources no matter what. I think what influences teachers and students to use technology in the classrooms is how efficient and convenient it is. Students can learn and study with things like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It is also helpful for teachers because they can make PowerPoints and other things to display on a projector and teach the kids that way, which is a great way to learn. The world develops new technology every day and I think that is a big influence on why the use of technology is so big in classrooms today. Students and teachers can do anything by the click of a button and it makes everything a whole lot easier.
