The english language arts standards that I feel most prepared to teach for is reading and writing because I am very good at these myself. I feel like I can teach these to students very well. It is very important for students to know how to read and write because it is essential when going through school. I would be very good at making sure to give the students confidence and always making sure that they understand everything they are doing because it is very important to me that they all feel comfortable with what they are learning.
One resource from CPALMS that I would use in the classroom, especially when teaching language arts, would be to "ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of the text." This is very important to be as a teacher because I think asking the students if they understand everything that we are learning is something that should be a top priority, since we are there to teach them and help them to understand. I also think answering every single students question about what we are learning is super important because many students are afraid to ask questions in the classroom and so when they do it takes a lot of courage. Asking questions as a student is very important as well because if not, they may not understand the concept and then it could lead to bad grades on tests.
From doing the Newsletter Design, I learned how to move around the picture of the cat from the middle of the page to the corner and making it at a slight angle which I never knew about! I think this can be used when putting pictures in word documents in the future. I liked how I got to use things in word that I never use because I am normally only using word for writing a paper, so doing something different was very cool. I did not like how much detail we had to put into it because it was a lot of little things that I had to find because some I did not know. I think I can improve next time by making it look more bright and applying even more skills in word to the newsletter.

Remember what we have discussed about the learning objectives in class? Instructor's mastery of the content does not always guarantee a good class. Teaching often involves with giving feedback, mentoring, and encouraging, which is out of the scope of how well does someone know the content.
