I think Excel is great for teachers. It can easily help them to average grades, see if students are passing or failing, find out the minimum and maximum of grades and much more. I really like using Excel and I think it will be very useful when I become a teacher. Excel is great for many different things to do as a teacher. I really liked the topic on PowerPoints. I liked getting the different perspectives of everyone in class. I liked to read about what everyone liked about it and did not like. I really enjoy PowerPoint and being able to use it for many different things. I thought it was interesting to see if other classmates like it as well. I would like to learn more about Google Docs and forms. I think these are great ways to be able to use in the classroom, but I do not know much about them so, if I were to learn more about them then I would probably use them a lot in the classroom. You can do a lot with these applications I would love to go over and see what it is all like to se...

The flipped classroom concept is when videos can replace lectures at home and then the students can come to class with things to talk about and questions that they have. I think this is a great way for students to learn. Students can watch these lectures at home and take notes. This helps them to prepare more for class the next day and ask questions on what they are confused about. The teachers do not have to lecture to the students and therefore, it gives them more time to answer questions and explain things that students did not understand. Open educational resources are very helpful for students in school. This helps students pay for textbooks and other needs that students cannot afford to have. OER's have become very popular among many places. This also helps schools that cannot afford technology to be able to get it. https://opensource.com/article/18/2/open-educational-resources-drive-teaching-renaissance I really liked how I could incorporate buttons onto my PowerPoint to ...

ILP #2 Participation Activity- Emmy

I did the ILP Participation Activity. I Read a LinkedIn Learning article on how to be a collaborative and influential leader using body language because this is super important as a teacher when giving lectures and standing in front of students and talking to them. Here is the link to my VoiceThread that gives more details! https://voicethread.com/myvoice/thread/13253926/80166626/74463518

I have really enjoyed working with diigo. I think this is a great thing to have especially for when I become a teacher. I can use this for lesson plans and annotate what I like and do not like. I can write notes on what I would like to expand on more. This is a great way to easily annotate things on the internet. PowerPoint is one of my favorite things to use when creating things, especially if I wanted to create a lesson and project it for the kids. I can create a PowerPoint with lots of visuals for those who like to see things because it helps them learn better. Also being able to explain and show the students from PowerPoint will help them analyze the information and remember it better. It can also help them understand concepts more if I can explain it to them and they can see it displayed and be able to follow along. I think technology can improve teacher professional development tremendously. Technology can help us create lessons for students and help us out with lectures by dis...

I researched my old elementary school, St. Marks Episcopal Day School, to see the pages they have because I was very interested. They have a page on each elective, such as art, library, music and many more. I specifically looked at the art page. They explained that each student from pre- kindergarten to sixth grade attend art. They first learn the basic skills of art such as cutting things out and then as they get older they start to do more challenging things. Here is the link to the website:  https://www.stmarksdayschool.org/programs/resources/art Here is a screenshot of what I read:  I plan to use technology in my classroom with most of the things that I do when I teach. I would like to use google forms to make quizzes that the students can easily take online. I would also like to use Kahoot because it is a great way for students to review for things. I also would use PowerPoint for my lectures so that the kids can easily follow along while I display it on the overh...

I really liked Diigo. I liked how I could read the article and annotate it. I also liked that we could put comments on things that we highlighted. I did not like how we have to download it and have to have chrome for it to be applicable. The app is overall a great thing to have for teachers and students when needing to annotate an article. I have not really had any past experiences with blogging. I have liked blogging because I can share my experience on here. I do not like how the format of writing a blog is because sometimes it gets confusing. I have learned about a lot of programs that I have to write about that I never knew about. An interesting web 2.0 tool to me is Google Classroom. I think this a great way for students to be able to access assignments and take online quizzes. I can assign students quizzes and assignments and they can easily take them while I watch them in the classroom. This is a great way for me and the students to be able to easily access assignments.
